【University & Junior College International Students Team Up for a Community Cleanup Project✨】

On Culture Day, Tuesday, November 3, 2026, the Diversity Center hosted a local beautification initiative in collaboration with 11 international students across our university group. We were also honored to welcome a special guest, Mr./Ms. Nakamura from the Saga Prefecture Multicultural Coexistence Promotion Division, who kindly joined and supported the activity.

Participants split into three routes, picking up litter along the surrounding areas from the international student housing facility to the Saga Campus. During the cleanup, local residents greeted the students with smiles, asking, "What are you up to?" and offering warm words of encouragement like, "Thank you so much!"✨

Even after wrapping up, students were seen actively checking the streets to ensure no trash was left behind. This event not only allowed them to contribute meaningfully as members of the local community, but also served as a valuable opportunity to raise environmental awareness and foster a proactive mindset.

Moving forward, our university remains committed to pursuing visible, impactful initiatives that promote harmonious coexistence with the local community.
