【✨🌏真生幼稚園×西九州大学 国際交流会を開催しました🌏✨】
 

令和8年9月8日（火）、本学のミャンマー人留学生6名と真生幼稚園の3～6歳の園児17名による国際交流会を実施しました！
園児を対象とした交流会は今回が初の試みとなります。

ひらがなで書かれたわかりやすいスライドで、ミャンマーの伝統衣装『ロンジー』や、伝統行事の『水かけ祭り』などを紹介しました

次に、音楽に合わせて体の部位に触れる手遊び歌の日本語版とミャンマー語版、ミャンマー語で右を表す「ニャー」、左を表す「ベー」の掛け声に合わせて動くゲームを行い、園児たちと一緒に楽しく体を動かしました。

その後は、木の皮をすりつぶしたミャンマーの天然の日焼け止め「タナカ」を園児の頬に塗って体験してもらい、水をかけ合い不運を洗い流す伝統文化の「水かけ祭り」で、園児と留学生が笑顔で触れ合いました。
 

園児からは『また明日も来てほしい』という声が上がるなど、子どもたちにとって異文化への視野を広げる貴重なきっかけとなり、充実した時間となりました。

留学生達も、かわいい園児に自然と笑みが溢れて、楽しい時間を過ごせました。

本学ではこれからも地域の次代を担う子どもたちとの交流を応援し、国際感覚を育む取り組みを進めてまいります。

【✨🌏Shinsei Kindergarten × Nishikyushu University: International Exchange Event Held! 🌏✨】

On Tuesday, September 8, 2026, an international exchange event was held between six of our university's international students from Myanmar and 17 children aged 3 to 6 from Shinsei Kindergarten! This was our first time holding an exchange event for kindergarten children.

Using easy-to-understand slides written in hiragana, the students introduced Myanmar's traditional clothing, the "longyi," and the traditional festival, the "Water Festival."

Next, they sang Japanese and Burmese versions of action songs where they touched parts of the body to the music, and played a game moving along to the calls of "Nyar" (right) and "Be" (left) in Burmese, having fun moving their bodies together with the children.

Afterward, the children experienced having "Thanaka"—a natural sunscreen from Myanmar made by grinding tree bark—applied to their cheeks, and through the "Water Festival," a traditional culture where people splash water on each other to wash away bad luck, the children and international students connected with big smiles.

With the children saying things like, "Please come back again tomorrow!" it was a very fulfilling time that provided a valuable opportunity for them to broaden their horizons to different cultures.

Surrounded by the adorable children, natural smiles broke out among the international students, and they had a wonderful time.

Our university will continue to support exchanges with the children who will lead the next generation in our community, actively promoting initiatives that foster international awareness.
