On Tuesday, August 11, 2026, approximately 32 Myanmar international students enrolled in the Multicultural Course and Food and Health Course of the Department of Community Life Support, Junior College Division, participated in the “42nd Furusato Wakakusu Summer Festival,” hosted by the Wakakusu Community Development Council (Wakakusu  Summer Festival Executive Committee) and held for the first time at SAGA Arena. The students were accompanied by Liu and other staff members of the university’s Diversity Center.

Through their participation in this event, the international students had the opportunity to deepen their communication with members of the local community while experiencing Japanese traditional culture and the lively atmosphere of a local festival firsthand. For the students, it was a valuable opportunity to become familiar with Japanese local culture and to strengthen their connections with members of the community.
