令和７年6月12日（木）、本学にて佐賀市国際交流協会の馬場様をはじめとする関係者の皆様、ならびに佐賀市役所生活安全課交通安全・防犯係の栗山様をはじめとする皆様のご協力のもと、外国人留学生を対象とした「交通教室オリエンテーション」を今年で6回目となる開催をいたしました
　当日は、介護福祉コース1年生19名、多文化コース1年生33名、食健康コース1年生12名の計64名の留学生が参加し、日本で安心・安全に生活するために必要な交通ルールやマナーについて、実生活に即した内容を学ぶ貴重な機会となりました。
　講義では、自転車利用時の注意点やマナー、事故を防ぐためのポイントなどが具体的に紹介され、体育館では傘さし運転等による片手運転の危険性を学びました。
 　参加者からは「とても分かりやすかった」「日本の交通ルールを改めて理解できた」といった前向きな感想も寄せられました。また、介護コース1年生のソー・チョー・チョールインさんは、「日本で夢を叶えるためには、まず自分の安全を大切にすることが大事だと思います。交通ルールをしっかり守って、みんなで安全に過ごしていきましょう」と笑顔で語り、参加者の意識向上にもつながりました。

　On Thursday, June 12, 2025 (Reiwa 7), we held the 6th annual “Traffic Safety Orientation” for international students at our university, with the cooperation of Mr. Baba and other members of the Saga City International Exchange Association, as well as Mr. Kuriyama and staff from the Traffic Safety and Crime Prevention Division of the Saga City Office’s Life Safety Department.

　A total of 64 first-year international students participated, including 19 students from the Caregiving Course, 33 from the Multicultural Studies Course, and 12 from the Food and Health Course. This event provided a valuable opportunity for students to learn practical traffic rules and manners necessary for living safely and securely in Japan.

　The lecture covered important points such as bicycle safety, proper etiquette, and accident prevention. In the gymnasium, students also learned about the dangers of riding a bicycle with one hand, such as when holding an umbrella.

　Participants gave positive feedback, saying, “It was very easy to understand,” and “I was able to better understand Japan’s traffic rules.” Additionally, Mr. So Cho Chor-In, a first-year student in the Caregiving Course, spoke with a smile, saying, “To achieve my dreams in Japan, I believe it is important to prioritize my own safety. Let’s all follow traffic rules and stay safe together.” His words helped raise awareness among the participants.

　We sincerely thank everyone from the Saga City International Relations Association and the Traffic Safety and Crime Prevention Division of the Saga City Office for their cooperation despite their busy schedules.

　Our university will continue to work closely with the local community to ensure a safe and supportive environment where international students can live with peace of mind.
