We held a traffic safety seminar for international students

On Friday, 9/22, with the cooperation of the Saga City International Exchange Association and the Saga City Hall's Life Safety Department Traffic Safety and Crime Prevention Division, we held a traffic safety seminar for first-year international students of the Nishikyushu University Junior College's Care Welfare and Multicultural courses. Since 2018, we have been conducting hands-on traffic safety seminars for our international students every year, and this marked the fifth such event.

Many of the international students have been in Japan for several months now, so some of them had firsthand understanding of certain aspects. However, they were able to systematically learn again as they attentively listened to a specialist instructor explain the rules and manners for bicyclists.

In the latter half, we conducted a simulation in the gymnasium where students loaded heavy items into bicycle baskets and rode bikes while holding umbrellas. This activity let them personally experience just how dangerous it can be to violate the rules.

Unfortunately, due to rain, the event was held indoors again this year, but like last year, it was a time of great learning for all participants.

Thank you very much to everyone from the Saga City International Exchange Association and the Saga City Hall's Life Safety Department Traffic Safety and Crime Prevention Division for your cooperation despite your busy schedules.
